Let me show you how to live a brilliant life...

I don’t know about you, but as a child I loved Greek and Roman mythology. I would spend hours wandering around in my mother’s long nighties and dressing gowns, fantasizing that I was Athena, Goddess of Wisdom....

… and later, the ultimate ‘Goddess’, Wonder Woman. Daughter of Zeus, saviour of all mankind. 

I loved everything about mythology!

All those ancient battles, lessons learned, forgotten and relearned, the drama of it all and of course those glorious dresses!

As an adult I still do love a great myth,

but what I really can’t stand is when a myth is presented as a fact.

And without doubt one of the worst offenders is…

"Do the work you love, and the money will follow."

Sure it will, and I can stop speeding bullets with my bracelets too!

Or not.

In the same way as I would be badly injured if I believed that last myth, believing that loving your work is all you need to build a thriving business is just as dangerous.

The truth is... If you do the work you love, you’ll be doing the work you love. Full stop. 

Nothing more, nothing less.

I should know...

I may never have been shot at, but I did learn that my business was going to need a lot more than love. And the lesson was a tough one!

You see, when I started my own business I was sure that because I (passionately) loved my work I would be financially successful…

But I wasn’t.

Or at least I didn’t experience anything close to the level of financial success I wanted and needed to make running my own business a viable option for me.

Make no mistake, loving the work you do is still really important…

… but if earning a really good income is something you want and need from your business, you are going to need a much more robust strategy than simply loving your way to success.

You’re going to need clarity, confidence and a whole lot of clients.

Let me explain...

First you will need a clear understanding of who your ideal client is, why you are different from
your competitors and how you are going to communicate this in the most commercially compelling and strategic way.

Then you’ll need a powerful mindset that supports your belief in yourself and a recognition of
the transformational value your services bring to your clients.

Finally, without clients, you don't have a business, so you’ll need a plan to get your expertise in front of a constant flow of prospects who are your ideal clients,  and you'll need authentic sales skills to sell your services to these prospects in a way that feels comfortable and natural to you and has them saying ‘YES!’ to your offer every time.

Just three things...

Clarity, confidence and clients,

and the strategy, mindset and implementation plan you need to get them.
